Tier list
Final Fantasy Resonance Vision Tier List
Early tier list, updated as we verify. It ranks which Visions to chase first, using role and sourced availability, because skill data is not public yet.
Updated 23 October 2026 · Checked against launch-week sources · Early edition: not play-tested by us yet
How to read this list
Role labels come from one community database and are marked Reported. A Vision sits in S only if we also have a sourced route to it in Chapter 1. Nothing here is a measured damage or survival number.
Chase first
Breakers and Commandos with a sourced Chapter 1 route. They give you a stagger source and a damage dealer early.
- Cloud · Breaker
- Terra · Commando
Core picks
Other Breakers. Square Enix presents stagger and extra turns as the heart of battle, so a stagger source is the first role to fill.
- Aileen · Breaker
- Bartz · Breaker
- Clive · Breaker
- Firion · Breaker
- Lightning · Breaker
- Tronn · Breaker
- Vaan · Breaker
Strong support for the core
Commandos, the damage dealers that cash in on staggered enemies.
- Camille · Commando
- Noctis · Commando
- Onion Knight · Commando
- Shantotto · Commando
- Sephiroth · Commando
Fill the gaps
Sentinels, Medics and the Saboteur. This is about when to chase them, not about how good they are. Most parties want at least one protector or healer.
- Amelia · Saboteur
- Cecil · Sentinel
- Charlotte · Sentinel
- Leah · Medic
- Wilhelm · Sentinel
- Ayaka · Medic

How we made this page
Step 1: group the Visions by role from the community catalog. Step 2: order the groups by how central the role is to the stagger loop that Square Enix describes. Step 3: lift Visions with a sourced Chapter 1 route to the top. We do not rank within a tier. Once we have played the game, we will replace this with tested notes.
Entries marked Reported come from press coverage or community databases, not from Square Enix. Where sources disagree we show both. See About for our sourcing rules.
FAQ
Is this a ranking of how strong each Vision is?
No. We have not seen full skill lists or played the game. The tiers rank when to chase a Vision, using its reported role and whether a Chapter 1 route is sourced.
Why are Breakers above Commandos?
Square Enix describes weakness hits and stagger as the way to break defenses and win extra turns. That is our reading of the official text, not a tested result.
When will this list change?
When we verify skills and unlock routes in play, or when a source corrects a role. The date at the top shows the last check.
